SLOW COSMOS /EL MARIACHI
El Mariachi aka Slow Cosmos (Yaroslav Gnatchenko) is een artiest uit Kharkov, de op een na grootste stad in Ukraine. In zijn jeugd is hij geïnteresseerd in alle soorten muziek, variërend van electronica naar rock en klassiek,maar zijn grootste waardering gaat uit naar de etnische klanken van Spaanse Flamenco’s en Latino Rythmes. Deze muziek genre’s hebben hem diep geïnspireerd en zijn vaak terug te horen in zijn muzikale visie en producties.
Op 16 jarige leeftijd besluit Yaroslav dat hij muziek wilt maken. Hij leert o.a. klassiek- en elektrisch gitaar spelen voordat hij aan zijn eerste muzikale elektronische experimenten op de computer begint. Het was gedurende deze levensfase dat zijn alter ego El Mariachi ( vertaald uit traditioneel Spaans - traditionele Mexicaanse muzikant) werd geboren. Gemotiveerd om zijn droom waar te maken als succesvol artiest, heeft El Mariachi reeds genoeg kwaliteitsmateriaal op voorraad als jonge 27-jarige producer.Hij brengt tal van releases uit op labels als Young Society records, Progrezo Records en 90Watts waarmee hij support krijgt van grote internationale bekendheden zoals Hernan Cattaneo. Als opkomend talent ontvangt Yaroslav de prestigieuze landstitel “winner of Ukrainian Award in house music” in 2010. Gedreven door zijn passie richt hij in 2013 zijn eigen label Cassiopeia Audio op. El Mariachi’s muzikale pallet brengt diverse unieke sferen en klanken van techno, house, disco en electro.

El Mariachi aka Slow Cosmos (Yaroslav Gnatchenko) is an artist from Kharkov, the second largest city of Ukraine. In his youth he finds interest in all kinds of music from electronica to rock and classical music but mostly he appreciates ethnic music like Spanish flamenco’s and Latin rhythms. All these genres have influenced his musical vision and creations.
At the age of 16 Yaroslav decides he wants to play music. First he learns to play classical – and electric guitar,before experimenting with his computer to unleash his first electronica productions. It was here where his alias El Mariachi (translated from Spanish – traditional Mexican musician) was born. Pursuing a successful career, El Mariachi already has enough quality material on stock only reaching the age of 27. His tracks are supported by some of the leading dance producers in the world such as all time hero Hernan Cattaneo . The artist makes several releases on international labels like Young Society Records,Progrezo Records,Volt9, CTS, 90Watts and other’s. As an upcoming talent Yaroslav receives the prestigious title “winner of Ukrainian Award in house music” in 2010 . Passionate he is about music his own record label Cassiopeia Audio is founded in 2013 gaining more and more international attention.
